(no subject)
I'm so excited that its halloween!!! We actually get trick or treaters here! I will be sitting in the living room working on homework and passing out candy all night and I can't wait!!!!!! I love kids!!!
The halloween party at Shookas was this past Saturday. Teneka couldn't really dress up, because she had to wear her staff shirt (since she was working, and it was one of the busiest nights of the year). She wore her cowboy hat and used mascara to paint on a goatee and a thin line up her jaw to connect the goatee to her sideburns (is there a real name for that?). I had no idea what i was doing, so I ended up borrowing Travis' cowboy hat and Lexie's cowboy boots, wearing a jean skirt and a pink shirt that was semi-cowgirlish, and putting on a little makeup.
Steph came out too, which was awesome because I definately have not seen enough of her lately! I don't know if I've actually seen her since school ended last year, though we have talked in between. I missed her a ton though, and it was great to get to see her! She and I danced all night. For some reason, even though I know I can't dance, I tend to not give a shit and dance more than usual when Steph's around. We spent a good while checking out this one girl in a white teeshirt tied up around her boobs and a plaid school-girl skirt. Hey, she was hot! At one point i pretty much stared at her ass for 3 minutes straight, and steph slapped me across the face and reminded me that I have a girlfriend. Hey, Teneka would have been staring too! Its ok! Then Steph realized she knew the girl, which was pretty funny.
There were some great other costumes too. Travis and Caroline went as the parents from the Adam's Family. Trav's moustache was perfect for it, and Caroline looked great. There was a couple there who went as Shrek and Fiona, which i LOVED. Gene had this big feather headpiece which was AWESOME! Jeffrey (bartender) looked good too- first time i've seen him in womens stuff.
The bar did really well, too. We were at capacity for occupancy most of the night, and Chett had to hold people back at the door. I think the total number who came in that night was like 257 or something, which is awesome for a small club in Rutland. Apparently EVERYONE got one last drink at last-call because when the place was finally cleared out, both bars were COVERED in bottles and glasses. I jumped behind the bar to help brett clean up, so we were able to get out of there in like 1/2 hour or 45 minutes, thank god.
We went to Dennys after, which I haven't done in a really long time. That was cool. I love having breakfast with the family. And I love that they put a TON of whip cream on my hot cocoa!
Then it was home and to bed, to cash in that extra hour of sleep!!
Teneka says I can have the mascara she used to paint on her face, but I don't know if it will be usable. It was really clumpy when I used it that night. Maybe if I wash it out. We'll see. Strange that I even want it... I guess thats what happens when you're with someone who allows you to develop some self esteem.... it brings out my femme side, apparently!
Everything is going really well with Teneka. I'm happier than I have ever been.... :D
