The last one revolves around the girls. We have mini celebrations after a milestone or two. Crystal has been consistently getting 100% on her grade 2 spelling tests (YAY!!!1_) and Emily can read a handful of the pre-primer dolch words. (

Crystal studies her words via sentences. I recite a word, she makes a sentence out of it.
I set a facebook page up in the girls' name when I was hard up for a new neighbor in castleville. lol. Last week, we've allowed Crystal on to practice some light typing skills (status updates, replies to comments/messages). Feel free to add her.

I've been working my bum off at the high school, and loving every minute of it! No complaints at all. Well, two, but I've already brought it up with the powers that be, so that's that.
As seen in the staff room.
It's been a year of change. The girls and Greg got hair cuts.
Short A-line bob.
She wanted asymetrical, I obliged. She hated it a day later, but she's keeping it for a month, at least.
Greg celebrated a birthday on August 30!
I've been making the eat vegetable that they don't necessarily like (see Emily's face)
I organized an end-of-summer fundraiser for the library. Lemonade stand! I've been facilitating an early years literacy program called The Wonderkids. I got them to make posters, play host and sell some lemonade, while I took care of the business end of the stick!
Following 2 photos taken from my friend's blog:
http://heavenlyshudders.blogspot.ca/ There was a library workshop this week, and another workshop coming up on Oct 5 (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)training) through the school. Busy busy!
School is school. I've been making a lot of notes & outlines, even though it is an online course. It helps me to better understand the material.
The SLN website has the bursary recipient list on their front page. It made me smile. :)
http://www.sk.literacy.ca/ Hopefully my next update won't be next month. I'll have to keep reminding myself to take some personal time to blog. I've caught up with journal, but haven't commented much, as I do. I love you all!
