(no subject)
I will be in Japan for the next two weeks to visit family. My aunt's been going through chemotherapy for throat cancer so we're definitely going to pay her a visit. And Mom applied for an international driver's license- hopefully we can rent a car so we won't be stuck in my grandmother's cabin at the top of the mountain in the countryside with only a bus that comes twice a week to take you to the supermarket like I was during that summer when I was in middle school. Not to mention, it's rainy season right now so we probably won't be going outdoors much.
This is the first time in many years that I'll be having my birthday over there. :O I'd like to celebrate it by eating good cake and going out for karaoke with my cousins, but I guess that would depend on their schedules. Mayyybe I'll try drinking some sake? (Though technically I'm already at legal drinking age in Japan at 20 years old.) I don't want to get drunk, but I figure I should experience it at least once in my life in case I ever need to write from a drunk person's perspective. And I wanted to finish translating the first chapter of my fanfic to show to my relatives, but so far I'm only halfway done. *sigh* I'd like to take my laptop along, but depending on how heavy all the other luggage is, I might just have to print out what I have.
Things I'll be missing: 1) The new FMA chapter. Of course, I'll buy the Shounen GanGan when I am able to, but I probably won't post any reactions/translations until I'm back. 2) The first Gurren Lagann Parallel Works clip is gonna be put up on the 16th. Maybe I could use the computer at my aunt's house or something? D: 3) Weekly anime. What with nearly everything I'm currently watching airing around midnight (even Allison & Lillia WTF), and my grandmother's TV not picking up most channels, looks like I'll be stuck watching crime dramas instead lulz.

EDIT: OMG I THINK THE 12TH DETECTIVE CONAN MOVIE MIGHT STILL BE IN THEATERS. Maybe I could go see that. *__*
