Unable to concentrate enough to be productive at all this evening I resorted to trawling through my hard-drive. On my travels I discovered this rather dusty- and to be honest, slightly disturbing- crossover idea. I doubt anything of the likes has ever been attempted before (and if it has, link me immediately!). I have no idea what was supposed to happen in regards to this. If anyone is interested I might continue it (rather tongue-in-cheek mind), plot ideas anyone?
The (intended) Harry Potter/Ancient Greek Deity Crossover (featuring Apollo and Artemis)
“Honestly, Apollo, that is such a disgusting habit! Are you some mere human that you need to resort to their habits now also? You especially should be able to see the long-term effects it will have upon you.”
The golden-haired man smirked up at his sister, flicking the ash of his cigarette in her direction, “Which is exactly why, knowing the long-term affects, I am smoking it. And in case it may have slipped your mind, sister, we are immortal. It will do me no harm.”
A sharp glare was levelled his way, forcing a sheepish grin to form on his face. “Oh come now, Arty, it’s not like it will kill me.”
“Do not call me that. And that is not the point.” Replied Artemis snootily.
Apollo pouted. Artemis glared.
“Oh very well. He snubbed the rest of his cigarette out before looking up at his twin sister. “Happy now?”
“No.”
“But I-”
“Yes, but I know you will just light up another one as soon as I leave.”
“Who’s the one with the foresight here?” He grumbled under his breath.
“Oh do grow up. You’re acting like the ‘Furies’ at a beauty contest.”
“Better not let them hear you calling them that. You remember what Hera did the last time you dared name her in relation to the Furies, don’t you?”
Artemis stuck her tongue out, turning her back on her brother. Apollo grinned. “And you call me the immature one.”
“Oh do shut up. No one thinks you’re smart.”
“No,” he agreed smoothly, “but I am all knowing.”
Artemis gave a mock bow, “oh do forgive me, you great know-it-all, I simply don’t know how I could have forgotten that.” She finished sarcastically.
Apollo didn’t respond to the taunt as expected, forcing Artemis to turn back towards him. Seeing the thoughtful expression on his face as well as the glazed-like look to his eyes, her whole demeanour changed. Moving over to her brother’s side she knelt beside him on the soft grass, taking his larger, tanned hand in her own smaller, pale ones.
“Brother?” She called softly. Apollo turned to look at her, blinking his eyes momentarily.
“Apologies, sister.” He replied smoothly.
“What is it you saw?”
“A know-it-all.”
Artemis frowned. Apollo smirked. Artemis scowled and when no explanation was forthcoming, dropped her brother’s hand and smacked him across the head.
“Ouch! What was that for?”
“Being an arse and withholding information.” Artemis put her hands on her hips, staring him down.
Apollo grumbled, lowering his eyes and rubbing his head. “I simply saw the image of a young human.”
“Age? Sex? Area of habitation?”
“Young, around sixteen I believe. Female. Britain.”
“And?”
“And what?”
“So help me, Apollo!”
“Oh all right. She’s a ‘know-it-all’ from what I gathered,” he drifted off as he thought on the image some more. “She was with two boys, around same age.”
Artemis raised an eyebrow.
Apollo rolled his eyes. “Her best friends.” Artemis nodded and indicated for him to continue.
“Maybe it would be easier to sate your thirst for this if I showed you?”
Artemis’ brow creased momentarily as she thought it over before nodding. “Yes. I think perhaps it would.”
“Now I don’t what you getting emotional if you find something you don’t like in it.”
“Like I would,”
“I know you, Artemis Diana, I won’t show you if you go off on one of your saving-human things again.”
“Yes, yes. Just show me?”
Apollo looked at her intently for a long while before nodding. “Very well, sister,” he waited whilst Artemis settled herself into a more comfortable position before placing his hands at either side of her head.
“Ready?”
She nodded, and before she had fully closed her eyes, her mind was assaulted by a multitude of visions.
