Hey flist! I know I've been terribly negligent of you all, but I think this is just a thing you're all going to have to put up with from me during the summer months- either my life is so terribly unimpressive there's really no point in boring you all to death with the details, or everything is happening at the one time and it's all I can do to get a second to drop ya'll a wee post about it. le sigh.
The most recent example of this being the fact that I've just returned from a week's holiday to Athens, Greece! What do you mean you didn't know I was going?! Yeah, I guess aside from that one time back in January I've barely mentioned it, BUT I REALLY WAS RIDIC EXCITED ABOUT GOING, OKAY!? PROMISE!!
It was a glorious holiday! And I had the best time visiting all the ancient sites dotted around the city, even if the heat was determined to kill me with it's 39°C temperatures (ASDFGHJK WHAT EVEN!?). I just got home yesterday so I'm mostly running around unpacking and doing my washing and all those terrible post-holiday things, but once I get all my pictures in order I may or may not be inclined to spam you all ;D
Until then: how have you all been? I appear to have missed quite a few things relevant to my interests in my absence, not least of which was Inception Day (OMG YOU GUYS!), Team Angst whipping Team Romance last week on ae_match :D (pfft. who cares that we're still technically behind?!), and the release of the last ever Harry Potter movie (DISTRESSED OMG!!)...
§ re Harry Potter [no spoilers]: Thankfully that last point got spontaneously rectified last night when my mother decided she wanted to go see Harry Potter around 10pm last night. I don't think I've ever been so eager to forgo sleep in my life! And, you know what, it was totally worth it <33 this movie, you guys, it will break you into a million pieces but you won't regret a second of it (well actually, there's still "the chapter that shall not be named" :S). But the highlight of the entire thing for me was Snape, OMG SNAPE ♥, I will forever be inlove with this man. His part in this movie was so like that in the books and I can't even tell you how relieved I am that they got certain scenes down to perfection. Forever in love with Alan Rickman too for bringing one of the most complex characters to life and doing him all the justice he deserved ♥♥♥
...have I missed anything else I should know about?
