§ Collecto-London: So, I know we're all still in recovery mode from The Hub3, but I was wondering if anybody had started making plans about Collecto-London yet? Ideally I'd like to know which days people are planning to stay in London. I know the Saturday evening is a given, but is anyone planning to stay another night either before/after this one ( Read more... )

No plans made yet for Collecto London. Can definitely stay Friday and Saturday night. May be able to stay Sunday night too but would have to leave about 10ish on Monday since I have class at 11.15 (or call in sick... depending on how well college is going at that point in time). If everyone is staying Sunday night though I can do that provided I remember to bring books with me so I don't have to go home for them!

Have not booked for the Hub 4 yet either. But yay it's in my easter break. Just waiting for Dawn so we can book together. :D

Aww I saw your resignation. I don't blame you. I'm still enjoying it, I love the whole craziness and spotting the posts that are going to cause wank and the occasional bit of good fic I come across, but I'm not surprised after all this time you're sick of it.

Awesome! It'd be so much easier for me if I came up on the Friday and left the Monday, so my real question was who was going to be doing that and could we room share XD hehe. you up for room sharing? just lemme know if you're def up for staying till the Monday :)

lucky thing! Technically my rota was changed so that if I ever wanted a weekend off I would be able to get it as someone would always be working to cover Saturday's with me. That plan has kind of gone tits up so I'm in a really unsure place right now :S ugh.

yeah. man. I've been thinking about it for a while now and it really was getting to a point where I was resenting it more than anything. I'm not leaving the newsletter entirely, but I definitely need a break from the fandom side of everything. At least you can still take pleasure out of the crazy ;D hehe

Well Friday is no problem since I have Friday's off anyway XD. I'll say yes to staying Sunday night, will have to head off early Monday morning though - if this plan entirely falls through due to trains or some other unforeseen circumstance (academic review meeting next week. EEP) I'll still happily pay my share of the room for Sunday night even if I don't sleep in it ;)

Ugh. Stupid work. Beg the boss lady. Tell her you need a decision NOW so you can book tickets.

I really don't blame you. I admit there are times when I look at it and go wtf why am I doing this? But then I see a post by one of the resident crazies, or I stumble across good fic (found some the other week, I cheered) or something similar and it's great.

That's no bother, I'll need to leave relatively early Monday too :) or, failing that, rather late on the Sunday!

zeitheist is looking for roomies too, you won't mind sharing with her too, will you?

I'm trying to find cheap places to stay atm, but not much luck. Do you know where we stayed last time? That's only a tube station away from Olympia according to the map and was cheap XD

lol, at least you're still being kept amused. I've lost the ability to spot the good fic anymore which made it all the more depressing XD

Of course not! As long as there is somewhere to sleep I don't mind who I share with ... well within reason obviously :P

Umm... Boka Hotel I think. I'm perfectly happy with there if it's available, aside from the bathroom door issue (and we're used to that by now!) that place was good and cheap XD

yay :) I promise she's relatively normal. On our level of the scale anyway, hehe

Just checked the Boka, they have rooms available, £88each for the three nights for three people, or £71 for three nights for four people if we can find someone else to room with us too :)

haha considering we spent Sunday night playing with a balloon, a traffic cone and a sharpie I'm not sure our scale is all that reliable ;) But yay for relatively normal people XD

Either sounds good for me. Can't think of anyone off the top of my head but I'm sure we can try recruiting and see who we find.
