i had the flu all weekend. took yesterday off from work. found out that the main water line on campus was busted. two of my bosses are out of state and i was out sick. my poor student worker...she was left almost by herself when the crap hit the fan on campus. i felt awful for not being in at work, but what can you do?
then i watched the news and found out what happened at virginia tech.
all of a sudden my problems seemed so small.
my heart hurts for not only the 33 lives lost and their familes and friends but the entire campus. i woke up to a nightmare this morning about being shot which i can only attribute to all the news i was watching before i went to bed. i cant imagine the trauma these students, faculty and staff are going through. :(
i wish humanity wasn't capable of such horrific acts.
but at least i know that there are always ways that good things can come from such happenings.
pray for virginia tech, if you're the praying type.
