I am actually tired of heroines.
I have been indulging myself in reading lately, mainly because it is something I can do at home. ( I definitely don't get out anymore.) Anyway I either need to find the books or someone needs to write them because I am so tired of the female lead character. I know, I am a woman and I should indulge in the equal representation of power that the female character shows. We can do it too! But come on, does every urban fantasy have to have some strong, edgy, bitchy girl that ends up lusting after the rude (Jen help me out what is that fancy word for opposing character?) haha. I mean I enjoy the slight romance novel feel sometimes don't get me wrong, but I am starting to be able to predict the whole story line from the beginning. Is it so hard for Amazon to turn me on to original plot lines rather than the same stuff different settings different names. Maybe that is all Amazon does is find books with similar plot lines. Well enough already.
Is it at all sad that the only books I can find that I enjoy the library considers Young Adult. I need to grow up, but at least it saves on late fees. haha.
So what books do you enjoy?
Every book I am interested in doesn't come out until March or May, help!
ETA: Sweet the most amazing book is being ordered by the library and I am first to have it on hold.
Check out The Forest of Hands and Teeth and then The Dead-Tossed Waves. I am still thinking about the first book months after I have read it.
