Happy Birthday To You
A slightly belated birthday shoutout to the lovely Leslye.
A night on the town for the ladies this evening. The occassion: -see above-
We started the night with an early dinner at Chilis. Chicken Tacos, Shrimp Alfredo and Chicken Monterey to fill the stomachs. Conversation, opening gifts, the whole birthday 9 yards (minus the cake - the fatty stuff comes later). From there it was back to my place to figure something out. Raising Helen at 7:40, that's what we'll do. Cried three to four times during the movie. Good chick flick. 6 thumbs up (2 from me 2 from leslye 2 from catherine...you get the idea). Then to kroger for ice cream. No just kidding, their freezers broke -kodak moment- no ice cream there. Off to the gas station. QT saves the day with some luke warm but still edible ice cream. Wierd navy guy behind the counter. He's been to san diego, also gives leslye an A for effort. We should have gotten it for $0.99 cus you knew what kind of car and he didn't. Don't yah think? Back to Emily's for milkshakes. The logical way to salvage melted ice cream. Goodbye Leslye early to bed early to rise. Chit Chat then take Catherine home. This is where the fun really begins.
The eyes glisten not from sweat oil or rain. A big thanks to the dynamic duo for another shitty ending to a great evening.
Back to the drill tomorrow. Yeah, that thing we call work. I'm on light duty though. No glass racks, no carrying the rolled silverware, tea earns, the like. Truth is I don't like not being allowed to do those sorts of things, but I'll make do. Just another week and a half and I'm supposed to be "back to normal" (minus 1.5lbs that is). New work pants to replace the bleached ones.
Kevin is my hero. I know you don't read this often, but just in case, a big thank you for tonight. I couldn't make it without you. Thanks for listening and thanks for being at the bottom of my peak - "after all, thats what friends are for" ;-)
