I had to have a little medical procedure done today so I didn't eat from Monday night until late this afternoon--not an easy task! Christmas Goodies were taunting me ALL DAY yesterday and today. I got up at 6 a.m. this morning just to drink coffee as it was allowed 6 hours prior to my appointment and I was scheduled at noon. Yes, I am a hard-core coffee addict--coffee is my "drug of choice." Speaking of drugs, whatever they gave me at the hospital got me good and high. It seems I am quite the lightweight these days as I slept all afternoon! There was a time in my life when I actually thought I enjoyed getting loaded. Anymore, I think MY REALITY is the best entertainment and I don't have to regret or wonder what I might have done while I was in an altered state.
Anyway, Christmas is over and so I've got a few day to rest up for New Years. Once again I will fix loads of food and enjoy loads of company. We still have to purchase our traditional fireworks for this big event... it's awesome to watch hundreds of bright, colorful dollars explode across the sky at midnite! Wouldn't it be fun to live somewhere DARK on the 4th of July!?! WARM and DARK, such a foreign concept to an Alaskan! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
