A long winded budgeting plan.

So… for the last two years my journal has been pretty darn consistant.  Zomg trucking. Zomg life sucks. Zomg my husband sucks. Zomg animals.

I am happy to report… change! No not the quarter nickel dime kind, the ‘my husband has improved greatly’ kind. After the drama shit of the date his ex came and took pretty much everything not nailed down (and some things that were) he has changed somewhat, not completely but on a scale of 1-10 of husband awesomeness, he’s gone from a -10000, to a 6 or 7 so I mean dude that’s a big change.

That said, I also have to note that I hate being in a truck. No seriously I cannot think of anything more boring then sitting in a truck 14 hours a fucking day doing NOTHING. Especially now that I don’t have net while its moving like I used to, AND that I am utterly bored with WOW and pretty much all things computer right now so I have nothing to do but sleep or sit up front and stare blankly at the lines ahead. And side seat drive.

Now don’t get me wrong I love trucking, but the being a truck rider instead of a truck driver? SUCKS. Unless maybe you bring crafts but I mean generally boooooooooooooorrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg I can actually FEEL my brain rotting away each minute. On the plus side, the hubby has decided he might want to team after all. I am not getting hopes up he’s said this about 30 times before, but if I don’t get something to do aside from st around and think of reasons to hate myself, I may jump out of the goddamn orange ugly beast while its moving.

We also are behind on the mortgage again because this co is running him so slow, we cannot afford that. We NEED to pull 600 MIN a week to make it. 800 preferred.  See it works out like this:

House related:

Mortgage 900
Electric 200
Water 50
Food 800

Debt related: Amount a month min (Total owned|Debt holder)

Credit Card 1: 150 (14,000|Bill)
Dell Loan: 100 (3,300|Bill & Cryz)
Sears Windows: 100 (8,056|Bill)
Paypal: 100 (400|Bill & Cryz)
School Loan 150 (3000|Cryz)

Total Debt: 30,000 ish (about 28 but we will say 30k with all interest and crap)
Total needed min a month just for above bills: 2500 ish
Total needed MIN a week: 630ish

So written out… we are actually in the whole 200 a week. Because averaged out we are pulling about 400 a week, some weeks its 900 (very few weeks) some weeks its like 300 (more then I’d like), so… at this rate of pay we will have to stop paying the credit card, which we haven’t been, the dell loan, again haven’t been, the sears windows, haven’t been, the school loan, hasn’t been paid since dec, and paypal. That reduces the amount we need a month by… 550 dollars BUT even that STILL leaves us in the hole 95 dollars a week. Thusly meaning one of the other bills has to be lowered, food is the easiest one, but as of late, with the two lowest checks we’ve gotten the last 2 weeks, we dropped average pay per week to 350, which leaves in the hole 145 ish dollars a week.

Wow written out this seems way more depressing then I thought… here is MY game plan if we actually do it my way for once:

Get a team job, run 3500 - 5000 miles a week, lets go 3500 @ .34 cpm. 1190 a week take out taxes 890 a week pay.

Above numbers were fixed @ 630 ish, we are now in the GREEN 260 a month. That’s 260 to put toward the debt to pay off faster. Way I have it figured:

September - Pay figured around 3500 - Pay all debt above as written save 260 in savings account: total saved 260
October - Pay figured around 3500 - pay all as listed above save 260, now have 520 saved
November - Pay figured around 3500 - pay as listed, save 260 now have 780
December - pay figured around 3500 - Pay as above but probably wont save anything as its Christmas, 780 saved. Also Paypal debt is now wiped out. Extra 100 a month.
January - pay figured at 3500 actually I am not going to type that out anymore, figure it always at 3500, pay as listed above except pay 250 on school loan, save 260 now have 1040 saved.
Feb - pay as above, except now paying 400 a month on school loan, and saving 110 now have 1150 saved.
March - pay as above, save 110, now have 1260 saved.
April - Pay as above, save 110, now have 1370 saved.
May - pay as above, have 1480 saved.
June - pay as above have 1590 saved.

Current standing as of June 2010 with above payscale:

Credit Card 1: 150 (12,500|Bill)
Dell Loan: 100 (2,300|Bill & Cryz)
Sears Windows: 100 (7,056|Bill)
Paypal: GONE
School Loan 400 (400|Cryz)

July - pay as above, school loan paid off, now have 1700 saved.
August - pay 500 toward dell loan otherwise pay as above, now have 1810 saved.
September - pay as above, have 1910 saved.
October - pay as above, have 2020 saved.
November - pay as above, have 2130 saved.
December - pay dell final 200, save 410 have 2650 saved.

Current standing as of Dec 2010:

Credit Card 1: 150 (11,600|Bill)
Dell Loan: GONE
Sears Windows: 100 (7,056|Bill)
Paypal: GONE
School Loan: GONE

January: pay 600 toward windows, save 110, have 2760 saved.
Feb: pay as above, have 2870 saved

Basically continue in this way until sears is paid off, then pay off the large card @ 750 a month.

That’s MY plan, the savings amount will vary with life emergencies but my goal here is: have a large fall back amount in bank, save EVERY MONTH, pay bills smallest to largest, once one is paid apply amount we paid THAT bill to the next largest bill PLUS what we already were paying that bill.

Now if I can get bill to listen we might get somewhere. After all those bills are paid off, then we apply the extra 750 a month to the mortgage. Which will pay it off in ½ the time ish. Then sell house buy farm.

Now my HOPE is that we can actually pull closer to 1200 a week so I can buy my damn car, and if we make over the above structured amount say we make 3800 instead of 3500 I will be putting the extra into a ‘car’ fund to buy the car, goal being to save up a downpayment of around 6000, and enough cash to pay the car note for 3 months prior to purchase but we DESPERATELY need a new car my camaro is rusting away, both cars cannot pass inspection, of the three cars, NONE have no issues that really should be addressed. Letsee…

Pickup truck - needs heat coil, tires, some engine work, electrical work
His Camaro - needs engine work, possible new catty converter, tranny mount, recharge on the ac, some other minor things.
My Camaro - needs engine work, carburetor, head gasket, possibly a new fuel line, new muffler system as old one is cracked, possible new catty converter

We both like the car which I have chosen as the car we wish to buy, it’s a moderately priced car at 33k. Its not a pos Korean 10k car, and its not an overpriced dodge 50k car. Mid range pricing, good car, works for our family dynamic, we would both like it (which turns out to be fairly important), it gets 26 mpg HWY 22 City, and is American made.

Of course, I believe we need a new truck too, but a used truck will work for that as we rarely use it except to move the boats and campers, so we don’t need a NEW truck and his does the job. We do need a new car, badly. The two third gens need to be parked and repaired. They also need to be kept garaged, as they are older ‘classics’ and we are abusing them with our current treatment and if there was a classic car police we’d be in jail and they’d impound the cars to better owners…. So anyway that’s the plan I have, if we go team 3500 miles a week is a JOKE and we should easily be hitting 4-5 k a week. This is all up to Bill though.  He’s the slacker here.
