[ For a while now Freud has been spending his time feeding his interest in drones, now that he's a bit better aquainted with this place. Engaging in conversation with them, asking them personal questions like theres no tomorrow, tripping them if one so happens to walk by (accidentally of course), etc etc. Anything to tip him off that there is ( Read more... )

I've been droned twice, and both for a short time, but I remember everything that happened. I-I wish I didn't. [sigh]

Some people do go home and come back, or get droned and never do... I can only hope for their sakes that they went home.

You remember being here before being droned? Then, may I ask, do you remember if it was an over-night sort of thing?

Likewise. Being droned would look like the only way home if it didn't seem so unpleasant.

Ah, well... the first time I woke up that way from skipping my job and school. I was droned long enough to get the paper route done and get me to my first class when I snapped out of it. Th-the second time, I... I don't know why it happened. B-but it happened to myself and two of my housemates, all droned one morning, and we were like that for about three days. I-I can't fathom what we did to deserve it, so I chalk it up to the town randomly picking us.

Just long enough to get you to do what you're told. [chuckle chuckle chuckle]

Were you aware you were about to be droned that first time? Anyone hold you down, anything?

Y-yeah, pretty much.

Oh no, not at all. I just woke up droned both times. Ah. Um, w-well there was the "reprogramming" i-in Soviet Mayfield, b-but that was a like that... [Reflecting back on that obviously rattles him.]

That'd happened just before I got here, I think. [he notices] If you don't want to talk about that, it's fine. I get the idea.

I suppose now must be better than how it was then?

I-I suppose it's all relative, but yes. I do everything I can to avoid getting droned. It's not like a paper route is too hard, and I make sure I get to school and go home enough to avoid it. I got off pretty lucky that it never lasted long for me, but some people are droned for days, weeks, months... unless they're sending me home, I'd like to avoid that.
