♨ Fourteen Apples and Cinnamon - Action ♨

[It all happened so fast. She had only wanted to help him. Instead now she lies on the dirt road in a puddle of her own blood. Winry can't move, she can't even turn herself over. The red liquid stains her clothes and hair, spreading like an infection. The best the girl can do is turn her head so the steadily growing puddle doesn't choke her. Pain ( Read more... )

[Hermione's just wandering around at this point, but she sees the prone body first and then the blood. Her heart nearly stops. Oh god... She hates seeing this sort of thing and, blood be damned, she kneels down next to Winry and points her wand at the girl.]

Vulnera Sanentur. [She murmurs it three times, and it sounds very song-like, dragging her wand across the air over Winry's body. It takes a second round of three murmurs of the spell before the blood starts to actually do what it's supposed to. Winry should stop bleeding now and the wounds should be healing.]

Where are you get hurt? [Please don't let her be dead. Please...]

F-front. [With her wound starting to close, Winry attempts - and fails - to roll over. Don't fret, Hermione. This girl is to stubborn to die just yet.]

[A little magical help later, Hermione manages to roll Winry over. And then she hesitates before she Accios the dittany container out of her handbag.]

I'm going to put some dittany on the wound to help it heal faster so it won't scar. [Which means reaching under Winry's shirt if there's no gash through it, or just applying dittany around any tears in the fabric.]

[The shirt was basically ruined, as the sword had sliced her from her shoulders to her waist. The blond flinches at the application of medicine, but doesn't complain otherwise.]

Thank you.

Are you hurt anywhere else?

[The dittany is placed back in her handbag as she examines Winry's color.] I need to get you to the clinic. I can't carry you, but my magic can.

[Winry shakes her head.] Just that one.

Magic?

Just a stretcher that moves with me. [A twirl of her wand later, there's a small cot lying next to Winry.] I'll be controlling it.

[Really, she understands people's hesitation with magic, so she's trying to show that it's totally harmless.]

Unless you think you can walk. [Then she'll just help as best she can. If it were Harry or Ron, they wouldn't let her do all the work, so she's prepared for this, too, much as she doesn't like it.]

Wha- what is easiest for you? [The girl at least tries to sit up. From there she could either scoot onto the cot, or try to stand.]

Magic. [She says it firmly, but not unkindly.] I don't want you to strain yourself further.

[The blond nods, and proceeds to crawl onto the cot.] You're very kind.

[Winry didn't want to sound redundant and say thank you again, but... It's so weird to have help from strangers. Although she supposes she would have done the same if their roles were switched.]

[Hermione pauses just slightly, enough that her hand stops mid-spell. When she answers, her voice is soft, but firm.] Luceti has enough problems without letting people bleed to death on the streets.

Locomotor cot! [And the cot now rises just a few feet off the ground to float next to Hermione as she walks towards the clinic.] Don't worry. You won't fall off.

So is- [dsjhfkjds floating now] Is this normal from your world?

Magic? [Hermione glances at her.] I suppose that depends on which part. For the wizarding community, it's normal, but some Muggles are afraid of it. So I suppose it's a little of both.

What's a muggle? [This talking... it helps. It helps take her mind off of her wound, and off of worrying about where Edward is and what he's doing.]

Non-magical people. [She understands. She's not too good at rambling unless it's about something informative, so... here goes!] I'm from an entire family of Muggles. There's no magic in my blood at all, yet I was the top of my year at Hogwarts. It's fascinating to see how magic skips around in families.

So it's random, whether you're magical or not?
