[In the library is a man who looks, well, like he's getting over the flu. He's either sitting in one of the chairs and reading, oblivious to the world, or browsing. At some point, he arrives at the very same section as Winry and stops, realizing she's standing in front of the book he wants. Well. With a sigh he did not mean to be audible, he leans back against another shelf and waits, gaze drifting off into space.]

[The blond turns to look at the person who has approached her. She slides a book that was in her hands into its place among the other printed works.]

Am I in your way, sir?

No! I... [He what? Is perfectly happy with standing here waiting? Well, he's willing to, but not precisely happy to, even if that is the stock answer. He winces visibly.] I'll just be a moment.

[She side-steps out of his way.] Go ahead. I'm going to be here all day anyway, so don't worry about it.

[She's very polite. He glances at the book in his hand.] Just trying to read up on modern guns. Mine's a bit outdated, apparently.

[He pulls out his flintlock rifle, turning it so that the barrel is pointed to the side.]

I've thought of that, but I'm not sure how to use one. It feels a bit backward to ask someone. I've been firing a gun since I was twelve.
