First step begun...

Yesterday I had 2 root canals on 2 front teeth. It was a fiasco on the way back from the dentist. Miss Becky (landlady) had the roommate use her car to take me, since it's air conditioned. Lo and behold, a mile or so down the road and the volatage light, check engine soon light, and the heat light came on. He managed to get it into a gas station, where he found the serpentine belt broken. Which was what caused it all, just about. Luckily my insurance pays for tows, as long as it's to a repair shop. Sooo... damage to the car will be about $900. And I'm very glad it was us when the car went instead of 81 year old Miss Becky.

I need another two in the front done, and an extraction, and amazingly my "insurance" asked him to do a gum evaluation. I have an appointment on August 8th for that. It's incredible that AHCCCS is actually not only paying for 4 root canals, and they volunatarily added another expense! I think they do realize if an infection starts after the knee replacement, they could be in for more serious bills from the damage that could cause.

So, the first steps to finally having the first total knee replacement are moving along. Once I finish with the dentist, I call my surgeon's secretary, and we'll work a date for the surgery.

I feel a lot better knowing that things are finally moving this time, and they're not going to stop. But I don't know if I can handle 6 weeks or more away from my Dashael.. my online family... my computer! Oy! :)
