i wanted to let you all know how Renata was doing. I received an email from her sister this evening stating this:

My family and I met this morning with the neurosurgeon
in charge of Renata's care. Based on a number of
factors, he thinks that Renata will survive her
accident but will remain in a persistent vegetative
state for the rest of her life.

As you might have guessed, we disagree.

At this point we are attuned to Renata's will to
continue the fight, and we are following her lead. We
are continuing her care and prayers for a full
recovery. We are also aware that we are counting on a
miracle. You should know that we are comfortable
with that. It's a miracle that Renata is still with
us. The fact is she died and came back to life; her
heart stopped in the ambulance en route to the
hospital, and the EMTs and emergency room doctors
brought her back. What we are inviting you to
participate in is her rebirth, which is actually what
the name "Renata" means.

I ask you all to continue to pray for her.  That is all I can ask.
