i got a crazy idea after seeing that picture from 1935. I'm kinda obsessed with the history.i talked to a few people sent a general email out to anyone who would listen or help and I'm throwing on a "reunion picnic" with people that are still around from that photo along with the descendants. The number is already ranging in 70 and i've only found about 10 of these family names.. luckily its a potluck!!i just gotta pay for the park and find a photographer and remember things.. oh boy..

the email i sent to EVERYONE

here is the general email i have written to other families.

My passion is to discover the history of Renton and in that process i found out many things about my Italian immigrant ancestors who settled in the Renton Wa area 1905. After much digging up, i had found lost photos of my family, the early Italian immigrants of Renton Wa who had all came around the same time from Northern Italy. Such a close knit group they were as you can see from the photo, and many were related. After so many years and now going into the 4th generation of American born a lot of people have lost touch. I myself only recognized 4 people in that photo but at least 30 of them are distinct relatives! Where are these folks descendants now??

After more hunting and searching i discovered a little of who some of these people are , and a few of the children/ grandchildren i found, via internet! Names i know are easily recognized by the Renton people such as the CUGINI's who owned the Barbee mill on Renton waterfront CUGINI"s florist shop,or the DELAURENTI's who opened their famous mom pop shop in Pike Place Market, And even more DELAURENTI'S who owned the famous old rollerland in Renton back in the day, the FAVRO's who dotted the whole Renton Hill, and the AINARDI's (who had made a name change in early world war two , to Anardi, or Anarde) have blessed the Earlington hill since 1905.

After looking at this photo wishing to know the folks that are left , like me, i contacted the few descendants i knew from the photograph and cousins to see if there was a interest in a "Reunion Picnic photo" .Crazy idea right? So we have decided to try to throw on a shin dig in Renton, like our relatives did in 1935 .Gather together and share our stories of the past present and future. We hope to have the Picnic by this coming spring allowing enough time to find everybody that would like to come!

Here is where i need help, finding the family of these people who are left in the Renton area see if they want to come meet have a picnic and take another photo almost 70 years later!.. our families all basically came from the same small town in northern Italy and most of us stayed in our small town Renton.
