We made
vegetable enchiladas for dinner tonight, and it took forever, but when it was done they were like the grown-up version of the canned hot tamales I miss and haven't had in the twelve years since I went vegetarian. Dude. Apparently the flavor is all from the sauce and the corn tortilla, not the meat.
I am definitely going to miss some things about this neighborhood. Like the ability to run around the block for corn tortillas on a whim and be back in ten minutes. Or tofu. Or plungers. Or - if you time it right - hardware. We'll have a closer Western grocery store and probably be able to make more grocery runs on foot, but they will be longer grocery runs.
