While Wednesday night's SEPTA hearings apparently ran late enough that I could have gone after all - they started at 5 and I don't get to Suburban until 5:45 at the earliest, but apparently they ran after 7 - going to tonight's hearings in West Chester after work was totally the right choice. I got the whole panel of five officials all to myself. And I got to run through my several-page list of questions, and got thorough, civil, and thoughtful answers, many of which were the ones I wanted but wasn't expecting. There is still no love for the Intermediate Monthly, and buying smart media in Delaware is going to be a pain, but everything else might be okay, assuming they actually program their yet-unwritten software competently and in accordance with their sworn testimony today.
I have been promised a rendering of the fare gates at Suburban, an answer about DART's level of involvement in the decision-making process, and an answer about whether there will be vending machines at 40th St Trolley Portal.
And Iron Hill Brewery seems to have developed a black bean burger I don't recall them having when I was in college. And tables outside where I have cell service and can hear myself think. I am definitely winning West Chester.
