I don't understand why this is a meme, but mine is easy so I figured I'd do it. Inspired by the xkcd (which I didn't find particularly exciting) and assisted by the text editor.I think I probably have a pretty easy job to explain. I help kids understand how the world works. Sometimes this means explaining to them how to do a problem. Sometimes this means giving them a problem and letting them figure out the answer themselves. Sometimes it means showing them something and getting them to be confused until they work out what's going on. I help students understand how things work so they can figure out the answers to new problems they haven't seen before. The worst part of my job is coming up with numbers to tell kids how they did. The best part is watching them grow and find new things to tell me about. I get to help them build their sense of wonder and look at the world with open eyes. I use a lot of paper, and I don't get a lot of sleep, but it's a lot of fun.
