Nobilis Flower Illustration

It's the rudiments of a design for my Nobilis character, Barbara Simionopoulos, declining stage actress and Power of Wine. The background is a mixture of the Crescent moon for the Wild and the swirling red and black flowers of the Dark, because her own Code is a mixture of the two (not that she realizes that yet). The flowers themselves are a double circle of petals for Caprice, the inner circle has five identical petals (Age), Closed Orange (the opposite of Temperance which is Purple and Open). The outer circle contains four large petals (they're not identical even though they look it in the picture) (Pleasure), White Open (for Truth, definitely NOT for Purity or Innocence). The bracts signify Forgetfulness; the combination of Truth and Forgetfulness I thought was probably the best way to describe Wine. And yes, those are thorns for Death. The cluster of Calla Lilies is for her stage name, Lilly Simon.
