*sighs*
So, Boone, as I called months earlier was the first one killed off. So, yeah, I'm not surprised. I was never the biggest Boone fan, and sure, I'm glad it wasn't Jack or Sawyer - but I'm also kinda sad that Ian is gone given he's the main reason I gave this little show that seemed oh so stupid to me, a chance.
As some of you know
heartofthehouse suggested I watch the show to me, right before Walkabout aired. So, I checked the cast list and knew exactly TWO people by name. Daniel Dae Kim and Ian Somerhalder. As you also might know, I'd seen DDK in three or four shows and HATED him in every single one of them. So, that was a big check in the "no way in hell" column. (BTW, he fucking rocked last night. Loved Jin for the very first time.)
Then I saw Ian was in it. Pretty, pretty Ian who I had loved in RoA. So, I thought, okay - I'll give it a shot. Downloaded the eps I'd missed and fell in love.
Ian might not have been the reason I decided to keep watching, or the reason I love this show so very much, but he is in fact the reason I gave it a shot. So, yeah, that makes me sad that he was the first killed off. That and he seemed so sad on GMA this morning, which sucks. I always prefer it when a character is killed off because an actor is ready to move on. I did read that Ian signed a deal with ABC for a show of his own in the fall. I know it's a long-shot that any series will become a sucess, if get on the air at all, but with the great string of luck ABC has had lately, I hope it works out for him.
Anyway, yeah.
Matthew Fox was of course wonderful last night. The man can act, that's for sure.
Good ep. Not the best or anything, but a fine enough send-off for Boone, God's Frickin' Gift to Humanity.
Now, I'm getting ready to make icons from the eppy. Which, since I usually focus on the funny, might not work out as well for me as I'm hoping. We'll see.
