ainsley and her silliness

Saturday we bought Ainsley a little dinosaur set. I couldn't help myself because both she and Cheyenne wanted it. They ganged up on me and I had to give in. Anyhoodle Ainsley was so excited to play with it. We get home, she gets it set up (it came with palm trees and everything) and she and Cheyenne sit down to play. Cheyenne grabs the T-rex and starts attacking one of the other dinosaurs. Here's the exchange:

Shocked Ainsley: Daddy! What are you doing?! Dinosaurs don't eat dinosaurs!
Shocked Cheyenne: What? What are dinosaurs supposed to eat?
Ainsley: You have to go like this "Grrr....I eat leaves!"

Ainsley has loved ballet (it's actually creative dance, but I haven't seen any difference in the classes) and it's really got her dancing all the time. Yesterday she was wearing jeans that have snaps on the back pockets. When not snapped, they make clinking noises. Not loud or anything, but loud enough for her to hear. She just figured this out yesterday...so what does she do? She shakes her little booty.

"Mommy! My pants have bells, see!" And then she shook what her mama gave her. A lot. I wish we knew how to work the video on Cheyenne's camera. Instead you'll have to have a bunch of pictures to show the progression.

Last little story about Ainsley...we bought her a bunk bed a while back, remember? Well, we actually bought a loft bed and put a mattress on the bottom. It was a stroke of genius on our part because she is a roller. Before we go to bed, we generally herd her back to her bed. She is usually in the middle of her floor. (It's a good thing it's mostly clean.)

Moving on to other things...I'm now 36 weeks pregnant, but still cranky. I haven't packed my bags or anything, and I don't plan on doing that for a while. Ainsley was 4 days late and I refuse to go to the Stork's Nest (a crappy hotel type place they have set up on Yokosuka base so that the people that have to come from far away can be close to the hospital) The clinic here told me I don't need to go to Yokosuka until I am in labor. Know what that means? I will have never seen an OB this entire pregnancy...right up until delivery.

Will I be posting a pic? Probably not. I have gained more weight this time around then with Ainsley, but I was smaller to start with this time. So, though my husband assures me I look great, I don't believe it. I feel better, but not so great as to post a pic. i think. Maybe you will get lucky and I'll go crazy and post one.

BTW: I'm holding voting open for a week on the Cancer Can Suck It Month icontest. Vote!!!
