My car has been totaled. Or, they are in the process of figuring up the figures, so they can total it. It went into the shop on Monday and this afternoon the insurance guy informed me. It would have been nice to know this 3 weeks ago when all the craziness went down, but whatever. Now comes the difficult part: buying a new car with my husband states away. Don't get me wrong, I can pick it out, test drive it, all that, but he's got to sign papers on it. The fed ex bill is going to be atrocious. Let's let the dealer take on those costs. I also can't do anything until all this mess is settled, so I'm in a holding pattern now. ugh! I thought I might drive down to Florida this weekend and see Cheyenne, but alas.
Will a little tv chatter cheer me up? Maybe a smidge.
Before I get into the shows I want to tell you about my new obsession. It's all my brother's fault. He turned on BBC America. My gosh! I love this channel. I watch How Clean is Your House? and Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares almost everyday. I know Ramsey has a show on American TV, but I think he is more himself on the BBC. He seems like such a jerk on FOX, but on the BBC, he's harsh, but sensible and straight talking. How Clean is Your House? just makes me want to clean something. Holy smokes! The homes are disgusting, but the cleaning solutions are awesome.
Lost: Austrialia is the key to the whole game! That Risk joke was awesome and eerrie at the same time. I'd like to confess that I have never been a Sawyer fan. He bugs me. Rude, too scruffy, and I've never thought he was particularly good looking, but when he dodged bullets to get to Claire, my insides went a little mushy. Someone get that man some shining armor, indeed!
The boaties did kill Alex and that was sad. Poor thing. I never feel sorry for Ben (personal policy) but I now think he's not totally made of stone. Does anyone else think his little feud with Charles Widmore is similar to the plot of Lucky Number Slevin? (I know, it was a terrible movie) Raise your hand if you think that Ben will use Sayid to get to Desmond to find Penny?
The body count for this ep was unusually high. I counted three red shirters killed by the armed boaties and then Alex and Nadia in a flash forward, plus the guy who killed Nadia. That's a lot of folks! Claire did survive, but I wonder if she survived under the principle that halted Michael from killing himself. Claire's got a special destiny, maybe? (Bad 80s coverband)
Interesting to watch Ben twist and manipulate Sayid to kill Widmore's henchmen. I wondered about the list Sayid had during the Economist. Now we know that through the aforementioned manipulation, Sayid basically started the list.
We went all over the world in this ep. I counted Tunisia (polar bear central), Tikrit, Iraq, Syria, London, and of course, our lovely Pacific island. Ben obviously time travelled when he ended up in Tunisia. Something to ponder, isn't it?
I did want to mention the awesome line delivered by Miles when Sawyer was breaking away from Ben and Locke. "I think I'll stay with you guys for now." No kidding!
Battlestar Galactica: The Chief has officially gone off his rocker. If the colonial fleet had such a thing as CPS, they should be taking his kid and checking that guy into the looney bin. Did Adama really do what Chief wanted and demote him? He was the highest ranking NCO in the fleet, now he's the lowest...whoa. Tory is still a crazy, toaster, space whore. I wonder if Lee noticed she was hanging with Baltar and his groupies? I was pretty tired of Tigh and his head!ellen/Six. Somebody strap these folks to an FTL drive and get them to Earth pronto because I'm not loving the ride right now.
Bones: Awww...Brennan loves that little baby and she's building a bridge for the town. Man, I need to get a book deal if she's got that kinda money to throw around.
House: I laughed hysterically through most of this episode. House has syphillis...no, he doesn't but it's still funny to watch him mess with everyone's minds. Foreman on the other hand is so annoying. He doesn't do anything productive for the team...why does he work there anyway?
