Tv Chatter

I have a a guest chatterer today. Since many of you love The Office and I much prefer the British version, I asked Sara Newey if she would write a little chatter for the show. I'm not sure if anyone of you care, so let me know if you want to read her thoughts, or if you'd like to each take turns writing them, let me know in the comments. It's just fun for me to see how you all love this show. I'm the original addict and the rest of you are all so normal. ; ) Right, so onto Sara's review of The Office.

So, for those of you who have been having The Office withdrawals and have been lacking the right amount of awkward in your lives, last night has filled the quota for a billion years of awkward! Before the strike, we left off with Michael and Jan staying together despite their malfunction-esque relationship. And that’s exactly where we get back on board. Last night, there was a charming dinner party hosted at the Scott/Levintzen residence. Attending are Jim and Pam, and Andy and Angela. It started off with by far the most creepy house tour I’ve ever seen. My favorite part of the tour, Jan speaking, “When I get stressed out, I just like to come up here and SMELL MY CANDLES.” (As she says with a contorted face). Hilarious! And what is with Angela lying about Pam’s non-existent relationship with Michael? I have no idea. Second favorite part of the episode: Jan trying to poison Michael and Pam and the fact that they had her bring out their plates separately from the others. Literal out loud laughter, I say, literal. Only two down sides to last night’s episode: (a) Jim almost ditching Pam at the dinner party and (b) the episode was only half an hour long. Good night

BSG: Before we get into the actual episode I'd like to scream about the "next week on BSG." Are they seriously going to kill  Cally and is Chief going to let them? What the frak?! She's had her annoying moments, but I heart her. It's nice to see the view from someone at the bottom and that is what Cally is, she's the bottom of the food chain. Even after being married to Chief Tyrol, she's still at the bottom. She's not uneducated, but she projects what I think most of the society feels. She doesn't feel guilt for killing Boomer, she doesn't get to fly a viper, she fixes them. Cally Tyrol is the working "man" if you will and if they kill her I don't know where that point of view will come from. Save Cally!

One thing I hate about the final four cylons is how much they talk. Tigh, Anders, Tory, and Chief get together and just whine about being cylons. What's the point? Do something, or in Tory's case...don't do that! Baltar is a man whore and you just whored yourself to him. Ugh. Sure, she might think he is the fifth, but give me a break. Does she know the diseases she could pick up from him?

Lee and Kara did get a smokin' kiss in. I'm not sure where their relationship is going since she's still got Anders and he's leaving the Galactica, but I'd like to see more of them.

A few things I yelled at the tv while watching this ep:
1) uh, Lee, how can you toast to loved ones and significant others? Your wife left you and your girl friend is in the brig.
2) Wow, Doc Coddle needs to change Roslin's meds, she's become a real bitch.
3) Adama needs to hear that he's the presidents "wet nurse," maybe now he'll man up.

So, that concludes this review of BSG:Man candy. That's my new name for the show. Jamie Bamber, Tahmoh Penikett, Michael Trucco, and Aaron Douglas are just good lookin' men. Let's pray that these hotties lives are spared for the season, at least until the finale. ;)
Oh! I almost forgot! Lost is getting a three hour season finale. Yay!
