After a long day at work, I stopped at the grocery store for food stuffs for dinner. I was wandering around the bakery/deli area of Vons when a woman (my age or a little younger?) walked up to me and very politely asked me if I could recommend the proper bread to go with brie.
I suppose something about me screams, "I LOVE CHEESE!"
That something is one of the most honest aspects of myself, of course.
I don't really know what's proper, but I directed her toward a delicious, freshly baked baguette.
A few years ago, I had never had brie and was anxious about attending a party at my then-boss's home with the sorts of people who were quite familiar with cheeses of a fancier variety than cheddar, Monterey jack, and American. Now, I strike someone as an authority on such cheeses.
This amuses me.
