Everything once old is new again...
The diversity of life is phenomenal. I've journeyed into my past and made some interesting discoveries, and it's made me excited and thrilled and amazed...
Reconnecting with friends i haven't seen in over eight years it's amazing to see where they've gone, and realise where you've gone to.
We came from the same neighbourhood, the same background. We were thrown together during school and had so many little things in common, though we weren't to know then who each other would be, nor who we would be ourselves. We were at the brink of discovery, and at that time life was full of rollerblading and writing, swimming and painting your nails with permanent marker...
One of my friends is now engaged to be married. She's studying Media and Communications, already with a job and seemingly well on her way to leading a settled and interesting life.
Another friend has been travelling for some years. She spent a while living in Warsaw, Poland, and travelled around Eastern Europe. She amazes me. She's doing what i really want to do - travel. She's travelling until the funds run out, and, at the moment, that sounds like my calling... She's also finally studying - Politics and English Lit.
And yet another friend, she's become a personal trainer, as well as studying.
Seeing their paths, i can recall glimpses of these facets of their natures, and it pleases me that they are doing what truly reflects them. Though, i am surprised by some developments, marvelling about what they've achieved, and how it's all so remarkably different from my own experiences.
Amazing how much or how little you can know a person.
Amazing also how affected each person is by absolutely everything.
Oh, how different my life could have been... but i'm glad for everything that i've got.
