Keeping up with the Joneses...no, thanks!

I'll add more too this later, had a long day at work, but I think it's funny how so many try so hard and waste so much money trying to emulate others. Don't keep up with the Joneses, keep up with yourself.

IMO, keeping up with the Joneses is just another way to expose one's insecurities to the world while feeding the world the very same mindset it poisoned you with. Why else would someone who cannot afford to buy something, buy said item? Because both society and the mainstream medium drums into the minds of people that our worth is deemed by how many material things we possess and our net worth not on the person inside. I don't know about you, but I have seen this only getting worse in the past 10 years, I don't see this getting better in the near future, if at all.

Yes, it's definitely getting much worse. I'll get into more examples of it when I post to the lost_inthe_wild page. It's especially disheartening to see they have a name for this psychosis as well.
