I decided to stop merely reading about edible wild plants and will begin to actually try them. However, plant life being a bit scarce in winter, for the time being, my experiments are limited to pine (which I can most easily identify). Pine needles make a wonderful tea. I cut some up (about 30-40) in a coffee filter, used a bread tie to tie it closed, and steeped it in hot water for about ten minutes just like a tea bag. Add some honey and you're good to go. Pine needles are rich in vitamins A and C.
However, I need to add a bit more pine needles next time, as the pine could only faintly be tasted.
