Prequel

Ringo cannot believe he missed a beat on A Hard Day's Night. He just can't believe it.

It's like a nightmare that's been haunting him forever has finally come true. It's a terrible feeling.

Ringo is sitting on the couch in the dressing room, his head down, waiting for the criticism from his fellow bandmates to come.

He thought about George and the small but sweet kiss he was given for doing a great job. His stomach gave a painful lurch when he imagined George telling him how bad he did tonight. He thought he would get another kiss from George today if he did a good job again. He was so disappointed in himself.

"Ringo?" came George's sweet voice. He looked at Ringo's distraught state and asked, "You alright?"

Ringo glanced up but looked away quickly. He did a horrible job, he didn't deserve George's sympathy.

"Ritchie?" George said with concern while walking over to the couch. He sat down next to Ringo, their knees pressed close to each other, and put his arms around his friend's shoulders. "What's wrong?"

Ringo tried to move away from George's grasp, knowing he didn't deserve his warm touch, but George's grip was too strong on him. "George. I, I.." Ringo stuttered, glancing towards George nervously.

"What is it? You can tell me," George said, trying to make Ringo comfortable.

"I did a horrible job on stage today and I feel terrible about it," Ringo confessed, his face heated up as he waited for George to tell him off. But instead Ringo felt George's body tremble with a chuckle. Ringo looked at George, a little offended and said, "Hey! It's not funny!"

George stopped but kept a smile on his face. "You're so silly Ritchie. I barely noticed you messed up! And even though you messed up, it's not like it's the end of the world is it?"

Ringo bit on his bottom lip and looked down at his lap, staying silent. "It's something else," Ringo whispered after moment.

"What's that?" George leaned in closer to Ringo's face.

Ringo glanced at George, felt his face heat up and muttered a quick, "Nevermind," as he stood up from the couch.

George quickly grabbed Ringo's wrist and turned him around to face him. George crashed his lips to Ringo's before Ringo could protest.

This time Ringo was able to take in the wonderful kiss. It gave Ringo a warm feeling in his body, like the buzz you get when you drink alcohol.

George let his tongue glide over Ringo's bottom lip, as if asking for permission to enter.

Ringo opened his mouth to let George's tongue meet his own. He moaned as George's tongue slid against his own.

George then went on to suck lightly on Ringo's tongue but was suddenly stopped by him. "What's wrong?" George asked, staring at Ringo's lips that were shiny with spit.

"I..I didn't do a good job. Why are you giving me a kiss? I did horrible out there," Ringo replied, a little breathless.

"You did wonderful. And I'm kissing you because I want to," George said, smiling and licking his lips, longing for the feel of Ringo on his lips again.

"But you said that you'll kiss me if I did a good job," Ringo said a little confused.

George chuckled lightly and said, "You're so silly Ritchie. I gave you a kiss because I like you."

Ringo blushed slightly and whispered, "You..you like me?"

George sighed, looking a little impatient and said, "Yes. Now kiss me already."

Ringo was about to say something but was silenced by Georges lips.

They slowly kissed, their faces heating up, hands roaming up shirts, tongue against tongue. They parted their lips when they needed to catch their breaths.

The door then suddenly opened. John and Paul walked in seeing George and Ringo tangled in each other's arms.

Both John and Paul's face showed shock, but then John's lips turned up into a smirk, "Well, well, well."

George and Ringo still held each other close, waiting for John and Paul, well mostly John, to humiliate them.
