Okay, so this is the day after I watched episodes 7 and 8 of Maou (subtitled by the amazing Sakurai-Storm Subs) and I have to say that I am once again completely blown away by Oh-chan's acting.
For those of you who have no idea who the heck I'm talking about, I'm referring to the man in my icon right now...Ohno Satoshi. I have never been so moved by a drama series in my entire life. Okay, so I might have sniffled a bit during Yoiko no Mikata with Oh-chan's bandmate Sakurai Sho, but that was just because the little kid was crying as well! This was full-blown, about to burst into tears, wibble-age I'm talking about.
This is the stuff that writers dream of. Those that write the shows and those who are inspired by them, I mean. Firstly to the writers of Maou:
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE YOUR WRITING AND CAN ONLY DREAM OF EVER BECOMING AS GOOD AS YOU! I BOW DOWN TO YOUR AWESEOME-NESS!
Secondly, to Ohno Satoshi...one of my two favorite members of Arashi (the other being Sakurai Sho):
STOP MAKING ME CRY YOU BIG MEANIE! MAKE YOUR CHARACTER JUST GIVE UP AND START DATING SHIORI SO THAT I CAN WRITE HAPPIER THINGS!
Seriously, ever since I've started watching Maou, the only things that I've been able to write so far are really angsty and dark. Truth be told, I like writing angst and dark stuff just because it's easier to make original. Romance and other such fluffiness is so cliched these days that it's hard to be original.
I think I'm going to start posting my writing (with much trepidation just because I fear writing theives) and allowing my friends and other people to read them. Probably going to post on communities and such...starting off with Arashi just to get my name out there and then maybe people will start reading my original work....but that just means I have to build up my portfolio. *Sigh* With school starting, I sincerely hope that I will have the time to sit down and write.
On a completely different note, I went window-shopping with Mi-chan today and we saw the prettiest and cutest dresses...unfortunately all of them were imported from France and therefore subject to every possible tax and customs fee known to man. The one dress I was eyeing was $432!! That's about how much I pay in my part of the rent every month!! . . . But it was so pretty. . .
I did buy some classical music CDs at Pharmaprix (Shopper's Drug Mart in other parts of Canada). I'm looking forward to trying them out.
When the heck is that Xbox I was promised going to get here....? I swear that if it doesn't come....Heaven help the poor souls I unleash my fury upon.
That's about it. :P
