So this morning I woke up, I made my coffee, I had a toaster strudel. I started working on CP a bit before getting started on homework and such. Around nine I heard cheering and music outside, and assumed it was just another concert, something which happens a lot in Grand Rapids.
Then, while brushing my teeth and getting ready for my run, I heard freaking Barack Obama talking outside.
I promptly spat out my toothpaste, ran downstairs and outside. There was an Obama rally going on TWO BLOCKS from where I live. I quickly ran over and squeezed into the crowd. I was too short to be able to hear him, but I heard him talking... it was very inspiring, to hear him talking about change and saying he's going to stop this stupid war and focus on the economy and how he was just asking people to try not to be so cynical and have hope.
It was so obscenely awesome. I think pretty much every student from Kendall was there... heck, so many other people from all over the country were there. It was awesome.
There were also like ten people in a little group waving McCain signs and saying how Obama is a baby-killer, but everyone ignored them because their signs were lame and I think they realized their tiny little group had NOTHING on all those people. I was amused.
So yeah... it was cool. And now I should probably STFU and do homework, blech.
