....with Florence + The Machine.

Now I just feel like dancing barefoot anywhere to music like this. I don't mind if it's on a beach, all the better, to be honest. Or somewhere else magical and normal like the middle of the road. I let my imagination run high when I listen to good music and I rarely ever go into western pop music unless they are decent or at least a bit underrated. Lord, why did I miss out on Florence + The Machine?

My love for the group started when I came upon the video for Shake It Out (Acoustic) on Channel V. Florence's voice reached out to me, making me want to float. Then I ended up checking their VEVO and now I'm just as hooked on the music and the music videos. Surreal. So surreal. So wonderfully surreal especially that video for Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up). I appreciate a well-thought video concept that matches so well with the music. Video for the Dog Days Are Over makes me think of anything Bjork ever does except Florence + The Machine is hardly the Bjork kind in singing.

Right now, with the music from Florence + The Machine, I feel like I'm trippin' back in the '80s. Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up), as I listen to it now, reminds me of music in the '80s. They were heavenly.

Ah...another low pressure area that may or may not be forming into another storm seems to be hovering around Mindanao and the Visayas these days. I'm not happy about how the weather is changing drastically these days, to be honest. I hope this doesn't turn into another full-blown thunder storm like Sendong. People are still recovering from it back here.

I had a decent yet solemn Christmas eve celebration with the family and the other family that's residing with us at the moment on the eve of the 24th and 25th. And then had a moment at Starbucks with just the four of us (mom, dad, my baby brother and me) in the family last night after we found out the church we normally go to for late masses didn't hold the last mass like every normal Sunday. How was your Christmas celebration? :)

One day after Christmas and I'm off to work. I have deadlines. Yes, two deadlines from two bosses. I'll just put on Florence + the Machine right now and work. Hopefully I don't get distracted, ever. I'm thinking of getting readings done until 12 midnight after I've finished working. The Republic by Plato is still waiting on me to finish it.
