If only Philippines' thrift stores are half as good as those in the west. I hardly find good boots to buy. The thigh high-ish ones were in a shade of purple I've stopped liking a long time ago. The shade, anyway.
This Abbey Lee Kershaw interview made me want to grow my own mermaid's tail and retreat to the deepest recesses of the ocean. Or maybe see unicorns and ride on them. She's just so full of love. Now I'm talking of lucid dreams.
Got two white, oversized button-up shirts to abuse from yesterday's conquests. One made of silk and invisibly striped---unless you look at it closely---while the other is plain and in the softest cotton I can find. Both for a mere 50 Php. Ah, the wonders you can find thrift shopping at the weekendly (if there is such a word---I'm so used to inventing words every now and then), nightly flea market. There's a spacey messenger bag in beaten up and wonderfully worn out leather brown and a leather quilted Parisian backpack with gold chains in (off) white to throw in the mix of bags, too. Everything under 500 Php. And I'm supposed to find something good for a dorm mate, perhaps two of them, too, from there. Cross my fingers I hope to find two good ones from there.
I'm leaving for Dumaguete next Saturday, I suppose. I haven't bought the ticket yet. I've been thinking of flying there instead of riding the overnight passenger ship. But since fair weather is upon us these days, I'll go by passenger ship. Then I'm leaving for home on a (jet) plane come near-Christmas time. It's always so good to be home just because.
On the Jpop end, I haven't done anything else but put Perfume's PV for Spice on repeat for my listening pleasure. I must've viewed the video about 10 times because it's just magical minus the girls stepping on all those colorless sweets and treats. I've been on a Perfume kick recently, all due to the video. I'm learning to love the new single. And I'm loving A-chan (Nishiwaki Ayaka) more, the more I know about her from reading forum discussions and some others (blogs). 7 boys confessed to her back in her first year (or second year) of middle school? Psh...lovely, lovely A-chan <3 Oh and her first love/crush even came to a handshake event in their hometown in Hiroshima. Now I deem her amazing. She may be ditzy the way she acts and speaks but she's all kinds of adorable. I just wonder what's with all the A-chan hate and degradation? She's actually pretty smart and hard working. Au natural.
