HELP! Music stuff: a Ranting of sorts or not really

Jun 23, 2011 12:54

My piano skills are getting rusty. I NEED to get back to taking lessons or I might forget note reading and well, can I cry now? I'm also thinking of taking up singing lessons again. Problem is, aside from the COPA faculty at the university I'm currently in, is there any other place/music school a-la Zamora Music School I can go to? I'm suddenly missing all my singing and piano lessons in classical, mind you. I don't really want a crash course on anything pop given I grew up knowing classical singing and piano at ZMS.

Dumaguete is quite a small city and more of a university town but WTH?! Where are all the music schools that should go with it? And Dumaguete has a good music school, more like a music department slash music college in Silliman University, too. I walk up and down from the dormitory to elsewhere around town and I can't find any decent music school. Or maybe...I could be walking with my eyes closed. But really, I can't find anywhere to take music lessons from here especially when I want to continue singing and piano lessons. Does this mean I have to go into intensive study in Music? I hope not. I'm not seriously up to studying Music---getting a degree in music, to be exact--- when I'm faced with a dilemma on how to approach my English Language head teacher regarding my transfer to the English Literature Masters program.

Seriously, serious music schools around Dumaguete City, where the if-u-see-kay hell are you? (Yes, I AM desperate because it's been three weeks I'm without playing piano and well...singing, sort of. My dorm mates/roommates don't really take to singing much because one's a med student and the other's a nursing student. They'd rather be studying---the med in the dorm and the nursing stud. everywhere else---on nights when I want to check on how my singing voice is doing.)

Oh and P.S.
Suncellular's prepaid broadband sucks. I have to, once again, complain my SmartBro because it's the only thing decent around here. And yes, Suncell made everything suck from my browsing privileges to my itunes-connected-to-last.fm. Heaven help them, they need to improve their services if they suck this much. >.
