Bolivia Peace Corps

She sent her first pictures from Cochabamba today. And now I'm crying at the computer station at the local college. She looks just like I remembered her a month ago. Except she's time zones away and we don't have the luxury of communication. She gets internet access once a week but sometimes she doesn't have time to send a personalized message. I have been protecting myself by having delusions of staying together. But she's there now and will be for the next two years. Part of me wants this all to be over, but I am still holding on desperately to her.

This is the first time in almost a year and a half that I haven't had her at my side or a phone call away. I forgot that saying goodbye could be this hard.
