Dear people down the street who actually own the "stray" black and white dog named Ace -
I understand that you've inappropriately named your dog and that you should have picked Houdini. I really do, sincerely, my own escape artist has been know to complete a rather intricate disappearing act once or twice only to create chaos in her wake throughout the neighborhood. However, we seem to differ in that you have just given up trying to keep him contained. As such he roams the neighborhood subsisting on what he finds from knocking over garbage cans. He is dirty, smelly, neglected and now has a deep gash across the right side of his face probably from a fight with another dog. I have called the dog warden multiple times because I am sick and tired of returning your dog to you only to have you leave him outside tied to a tree All Day Long no matter what the weather is doing. Honestly, I'd escape, too, if that were my life. Ace is friendly and sweet. He would make somebody who is not you a great pet and if I ever catch him in my yard during the day when the pound is open, I will take him up there so that he can be adopted by someone who really wants him. I must tell you this as I know that this dog is micro-chipped as belonging to you. I will make sure and report your neglect and hope that the county fines you for your cruelty to this animal.
Sincerely -
Me, your neighbor
