It's Me Again*

Well, it's been a few weeks since I've updated. I actually had stuff I could write about today, so I thought I'd take time out of studying (which I really haven't done much of) and update.

Things up at Tech are going great. This past week has been alot of fun. I could start with the big football game thursday night. It's so funny that with all the closings and such in Virginia due to the hurricane that Tech still went on with their game. Not even a hurricane can stop gameday in the 'burg. It wasn't too bad to sit through though. It rained the entire time and the wind blowed hard alot, but it was bearable. The fact that it was an exciting game made it worth sitting through. And Shaun got to come up for the game. It was fun getting to hang out with him again....haven't been able to do that in forever. After the game, me and shaun headed over to Mikey's place (aka...party central). It's so fun over there...so many people hang out there because he's got the coolest room. I lost count as to how many people were there. After the RA came down a few times to tell us to be quite, we decided to get some pizza and watch 'van wilder'! It's was funny watching all those people cram into that room to watch a movie. I think I finally made it back to my room at 3am...which is why I pretty much stayed in bed all day friday.

Like I said, friday was pretty boring. I actually studied a little bit for the cpa exam. I didn't do too much that night and yet I still didn't get into bed until around 2am. My sleeping habits have become typical for a college student these days. haha

Saturday was an absolute blast. Mikey called me around noon and got me out of bed. We were heading to my aunt ruby's house at claytor lake for the day. It was an absolute beautiful day and talk about FUN. First, we got to go out on their jet skis. I rode with Nick. I haven't seen that boy in forever and boy has he changed. I don't think I would have recognized him if I passed him on the street. Once we brought those in, Ruby had fixed us some food, so we sat around eating and watching football games on tv. After that, we all got to go out on their huge boat. I actually got to ride on the innertube thing which was so fun....but majorly sore on my arms since I had to hold on so tight so that I wouldn't fall off. It scared me because Michael went first and he had some major wipeouts. Kenny took it easier on me. Me and michael decided that there was just no way we could do the water skis, so maybe we'll give that a try another time. Overall, it was a great day and I can't wait until I get the chance to go back there.

That night proved to be rather fun too. When I got back, I layed down for an hour, then got a shower and got ready. Some of us girls went to free bowling night at squires at 10. It was cosmic bowling (or as we call it in wise 'glow bowl')! I actually threw a strike on my first throw. haha We ended up having some problems with some of the people we met up with after about an hour, so us girls decided we were in the mood to go dancing. We came back and changed clothes, then headed to the club "Nerve"! It was sooo much fun. One of the girls I went with couldn't believe my dancing. Some people just underestimate my abilities. haha It was a typical club night for me, despite the fact that one guy burned my arm with his cigarette. I still have this nasty burn scar from it today. We all finally unwound and I climbed into bed around 3am.

Sooo...I got up around noon today and have been trying to work on homework. My group is probably starting to get ticked off at me because I'm the slacker of the group and they always finish the assignment before I even start on it. I guess someone's gotta be the slacker though. Luckily, classes are a breeze this semester so I don't have to spend so much time on them. I've got my job fair to attend this thursday and I'm starting to get nervous about it. I need to figure out which companies I want to interview with.

But, I think that's about it. As you can see, I'm keeping busy, which is the one thing that keeps me from becoming homesick. This week already looks promising for me, so I'm looking forward to it. I guess I'm outta here then!!
