Lost souls

Found my copy of this book again.

Re reading it my interest wained.

By the third page it had covered all the topics that are still current today and demonstrated achingly how little had changed besides MORE PEOPLE.

Wikipedia revealed that poppy z brite no longer exists and has instead been replaced by a man who is still writing but not for the general public and is focused on hurricane katrina.

Which was mildly interesting.

Some of his(her) quotes are... Worth debate.

Like, does he think Robert smith is a poser? Cos he ain't dead.

Reading his first novel with the insight that he always knew he was male twists the tale in an extraordinary way I would have been unable to interpret originally.

The goth scene was so focused on creating a world where sex change was normalised and fetishes were to be indulged... In the 90's.

Now the Internet reports that 90% of people admit to having experience in the bdsm scene.

And yadda yadda...

I guess it's alright so long as you're not supporting an industry that relies on child labour and all that other crap.

I've been trying to immerse myself in the world of magic the gathering but that's been more learning curve with little progress.

50 years of card games and dice and monstrosity of money for the industry that reveals no harm to others on the surface.

I dunno... Magic.... I've practiced and seen practiced my whole life...

Red hot chilli peppers... The music industry is rife with it... Making coin by giving audiences an experience they'll never forget....

I dunno...

In the wizard of Oz the entire plot revolves around a character hiding behind a curtain.

....
