Update
I suck at LJ. The end. I do check it every day though.
So lots of things have changed recently. Lorele and I got a roommate, Bethany. She moved up here from TN on 11/23/11 and we got a 2 bedroom apartment. We also added 2 dogs to our family that she brought with her; Heidi and Lorien. They're cute dogs and I like dogs anyway. I just wish the dogs and cats got along a bit better. Right now Natasha and Vlad stay in our bedroom because we have a baby gate up and the dogs don't go up and over it.
They venture out once in a while, but usually only stalk around for a few seconds before going back into the bedroom. I feel bad because essentially they're trapped in 1 room. But it's a big room and we do leave the door open so they could go out if they wanted to. I think eventually they'll integrate a little more, when it isn't so new and interesting/scary anymore.
Christmas and New Year was good. Took Bethany to First Night and we stayed til midnight. It was fun, but I don't need to do it again. Growing up in Boston kind of takes away the shiney "Oooh" quality First Night has. But I can see why other people would have fun doing it.
I don't have any resolutions for New Year this year. 2012. Seems crazy that in 3 years we'll be in the year Marty McFly went into the future to see. I have no resolutions because I think this year I just want to play it all by ear and try to figure out as I go, what I want to do with my life in general. I feel like if I make resolutions I'm setting goals to get things done when I don't yet know what will happen in my day to day life. So I guess my resolution is to live each day 1 day at a time and try not to rush to the next thing or task that needs to get done. I have to stop waiting for life to start, and realize it already has and I'm living it every day.
