Things I have not said about NZ or perplexed on the far side of the world

1. The internets seems to be only as metered usage in broadband that you must sign up for for 6 months to a year or risk the early contract breaker fees. -- I'm not sayin its the only thing, I'm sayin its the only thing I can find, you found somethin better please let me know.

2. Cat5 vs Cat6 and "clean" power. My nearest electronics store swears to me that I should be using Cat6 and the NZ power is "cleaner" than US power, to which I reply no and thats nice, dear, I still want surge protector thanks.
As they want to charge me $10 a meter for said cat6 and only sell cat6, I will get my cables elsewhere. Silly humans, no thanks still means no.

3. I often think perhaps I have just spoken in an entirely different language. And I know I'm speaking English, ok I am not the most eloquent human nor am I always clear, but um, I'm pretty sure what I said was mostly intelligible. I hope. I find myself singing "You speak my language" by Morphine lots lately.

4. I have discovered most people when presented with cookies/biscuits covered in multicolored sprinkles/"hundreds and thoundsands"(yes its what they are called) will not say "Those are biscuits not cookies." They will just say thank you with a mouth full of Cookie/Biscuit. :)

I find when I am stressed lately I am baking; this week it was Crystallized Ginger Manuka Honey cookies with hundreds and thousands and a bit of Allspice cus I was out of cinnamon. I will post the recipe later when things are calmer.
