Just because I rarely post to LJ these days, that doesn't mean I've abandoned these united Inter-Tubes completely. In fact, I'm a veritable socially-networked butterfly. So, with apologies to
Warren Ellis (from whom I lifted the idea for this self-indulgent little exercise), here are most of the e-places you might fine me at any given time...
Random Signal - My podcast, as most of you probably know. Equal parts geek talk and indie rock. I don't update it nearly a frequently as I would like, but I haven't podfaded...not yet. Also, in theory, it has LJ syndication --
randomsignalrss-- but it seems to have stopped updating sometime back in July. Curious.
Lulu Radio - My other podcast, the one that makes me a "professional" podcaster. It is the official podcast of
Lulu.com, is updated weekly (believe it or not), and it features interviews with Lulu authors and staff. Most recently I spoke with
mckenzee (of the webcomic
Sinister Bedfellows), whom I had the pleasure to meet at
What-The-Hell?! Con last weekend.
Flickr - By far my favorite social networking site. I'm no great photographer, but I have a few lovely pictures from
Yosemite National Park. Plus, in the odd chance you want to see me
cosplay some hoboes, this is the place to be.
Upcoming - One of several sites I've joined in the last few weeks. I am really bad at keeping track of the dates of things like cons and concerts, so it's nice to have everything listed in one place.
Yelp - I really like the concept of this site: write reviews of local businesses and send compliments to other people who've written good reviews. This recognition system is one of the coolest aspects of Yelp, one that fosters an active community. Of course, I haven't had the time to write any reviews of my own yet...
Tagworld - I haven't done much with this site yet, but it seems like a less-annoying version of MySpace, so that's something.
Facebook - I've only been on Facebook for a few days, but so far I've spent more time there than the last three sites I listed put together. OK, so I'm at least 10 years older than almost everyone else on the site, but between all the recent fresh-out-of-college hires at Lulu, and all my fresh-into-college co-workers at the
Chelsea Theatre, I've already got a respectable f-list. If you're on Facebook, or any of these other social network sites I've mentioned, and you friend me, I'll friend you back!
Lastly, if anyone feels like helping me while away my work day, I'm pretty much always on both Skype (ID: jason.adams) and Yahoo! Messenger (ID: thecryptonaut)--just introduce yourself first, please.
