1. anti-racism:
   It never made sense to me. Racism. Yet I could feel the pull. Society does it to you. Movies like American History X do it to you. Living in a city for all of my youth that is 50% black 50% white does it to you. But I realized, though, early on to battle this feeling of segregation and educate myself on it. So, I did. I educated myself and have become vehemently anti-racist since that point. It saddens me people choose to remain ignorant. I've lived in the south for the greater part of my life, so I know how strong it is here.
2. communism:
   Communism interest me simply because America sees it as an evil. I educated myself on it, and was intrigued by it to no end.
3. gray:
   One of my favorite colors, and also one of my favorite songs by Ani DiFranco. The song is amazing, especially on the album 'So Much Shouting, So Much Laughter.' It's amazingly sorrowful. and impressive. If you haven't heard it, do.
4. icelandic:
   Amazing laguage. All thanks to Sigur Rós. I became interested in it, learned about, and can now pronounce it perfectly and know basic conversation. One day, I'll learn it all.
5. lj icons:
   WHOO! hehe. I use the same icon, but I love to make new ones. Adobe photoshop is like a toy to me. Heh.
6. music:
   lol. "music." pretty self-explanitory. I'm a music afficianado. I love modern music and all it has to offer. I continually discover bands i'm intrigued by.
7. rivers:
   For the greater part of my life, i've lived by the Red River. and any body of water really attracts me. In slidell, I lived on Lake Ponchartrain. in gulfport, I was two minutes away from the gulf.

   If only i'd lived in a place to experience one ;)
9. tattoos:
   I have five. It's an amazing expression... and my tattoos do indeed recieve a lot of critisicm. okay, well, one does at least. I have two on my wists. Sigur Rós album title + song title. One on my leg of the lead singer of Sigur Rós, and in icelandic I have 'Peace' on my upper right arm. The one that recieves the most judgement is the one on the back of my neck. I placed it so it could be easily hid by a collared shirt if I got a better paying job. It's Ani DiFranco. a quote. "I See You + I Dilate" ... I got it to both express my passion for that song + artist, and teach myself humility. People laugh at it. People never know what to think. That pleases me. I'm strange.
10. x-files:
    AWESOME show. Scully makes it. Gillian Anderson is an amazing actress, and if anyone tells me it's not a well-written show, i'll argue. It's amazing, and i'm very much into the paranormal, or at least the theory of it.
