Exams were alright. Potentially could have done better, but ah well. That paper's over. I've got my oral exam tomorrow. Shoot.. my mum just reminded me that I have a placement test on Monday and the spoken is apparently quite crucial in the exam. sigh. Looks like my exams don't just end tmrw like my classmates'.

To de-stress, I ended up at Castle with Z for another climbing session. I got so fed up last night while revising in the LangLab that I finally texted her and took up her offer to go climbing. Throughout the 3 hours (that I was supposed to be climbing), I kept thinking that I should be at ME. Today's climbing session overran by a lot, though and I ended up spending 7 hours at the Castle. Combo of top-roping (one), bouldering (countless), traversing (maybe 6? can't remember), leading (quite a lot) and seconding (2 difficult climbs that I couldn't lead so I seconded D's lead). To be fair, we did spend an hour on a tea-break since the weather was so nice and sunny. We brought our cups of tea outside the Castle and sat on the grass there. Was nice hanging out with Z.. esp since she can't make it to leaving drinks tomorrow.

Me and Z came up with our own ratings for climbs. We labelled it according to scariness and one that was scary but not very very scary was a single (i.e. piss in pants) whereas on the other end of the spectrum was a quadruple (will leave it to your imagination). I did a single (well, not in the actual sense, but ratings-wise).. single because another climber near me accidentally bumped into my precariously positioned foot while I was leading and I thought it was going to be knocked off the foothold. Luckily my foot held, but my heart jumped. Then near the top, I couldn't find the footholds and A (who was climbing next to me) pointed it out for me. It was a thank-god feeling. Speaking of A, me and Dom were talking about him the other day. He's got long-hair now.. and Dom's been exaggerating in the past. A leads 6a climbs, although I have to admit that he's super-strong. I was watching him lead his climbs and it looked like most of his weight was supported by his arms while he was doing that massive overhang climb. It was the first time I'd ever watched him lead coz previously Dom and I used to stay in the small room and do top-roping whereas A always hit the big lead room. I'd only watched A do a bit of gymnastics and heard about his finger-board success.

Practiced using SOS (screw on smears) today.. still don't quite trust them. Did some nice boulder problems while traversing round the boulders. The most interesting climb I did today has to be the one D led.. the woodies. Not the usual b/o holds, but frictionless wooden b/os. Apparently, if you get your balance right, you don't slip off them. But chalk is not the solution! Can't believe D led that.. I was scared just seconding that climb! Did slip off a few times.

Pleasant day today, but will have to pay for it with a no-sleep night because I absolutely have to finish packing up my boxes so that I can call the shipping company tomorrow and confirm my collection! Cutting it reaaallly close.
