I saw it with my sister, who was a big Heath fan and very emotional, and we both really liked it. It's funny, usually when everyone else is screaming and starting out of their seats, I don't even blink, but this time, I actually jumped once or twice. Intense.
But, still. When I think Batman, I think Adam West. :) No, I'm not that old, I just used to watch the show.
There were a few arm-hair-raising moments in the movie. And one particularly jump worthy moment. LOL
What amused me was that we all laughed at the inappropriate moments, whereas the rest of the cinema was quiet! :D
I adore the cartonnyness of the Adam West Batmans, but I also like the darkness of Christian Bale (also, his sexiness!). I think my favourite Batmans - in order - are Christian Bale, Michael Keaton and then Adam West.
Wasn't that movie someting else Heath Ledger should win the academy award for his potrayal of that insane mf the joker he had no sympathy for no one at all.
Hmmm, it was a great movie, but I think I'm very much in the minority in that I think Heath Ledger was good...great, even...but he wasn't fantastic. He certainly took the role and made it his, but I don't think that he was any better than anyone else in the movie...except for Maggie Gyllenhaal, who I wasn't so keen on, sadly.
I did like the idea of the Joker just doing everything for shits and giggles though - that's the kinda baddie I can dig. No motivation other than doing it for the fun of it! :D
I'm with you - I thought he was quite good, but not quite what I would normally consider Academy Award good. But then I guess it's a bit relative, I haven't seen what he is up against... maybe his was the one of best performances out there this year...
And I agree with you about Ms. Gyllenhaal, as well. Although she wasn't nearly as bad as Kim Basinger in the first movie (she nearly ruined that movie for me) but they do seem to have a hard time finding good actresses for those movies for the girlfriend roles. Or maybe they just write and direct them badly. Whatever it is, they always seem weak and wooden, to the point where it becomes annoying.

Have you seen the movie yet? If not, when you do...you'll see why I make the comparison. :D

I didn't think of it, but now that you say it, I can see it. I've got the banana song in my head!
looked up beetlejuice. OH it was Micheal Keaton! Who as we all know, also played Batman.
