I'm collecting sample data. Mild exposure to the "Red Zones" with documented results. Unfortunately, I do not have a proper laboratory to process them.

a pause while he silently weighs the pros and cons of what may occur. and then, casually: ] Is there any specific equipment you're looking for?

[ ... ] A video camera, an assistant, and a place in which I can do some blood work.

Aaah, it's hard to find anything too fancy here, but I do have access to a laboratory.

[Oh. Aren't you the new best friend.] Do you now? I would be most obliged if I could have some access to it.

[ oh boy, aren't friends awesome! ] I'm afraid it's a bit cluttered with my work, but I can certainly make the place serviceable. I'd be happy to help, too, if you need an assistant. This city is quite a curious place and it's been a thrill studying it.

[ rustling and clicking noises as he prepares himself (and his giant termite) for a quick run outside. this should be interesting! ]

[He pauses and adjust his device.] It will be a pleasure.

[ just as he said, it's only a few minutes before he comes over -- riding on the back of his ginormous termite. its scuttling movements scrape raw over the pavement as it runs at a frightening speed, feet scratching as it screeches to a halt right in front of the church, just barely missing barreling into wesker.

as soon as the termite's stopped running, kasukabe hops off its back to land neatly on the pavement. a pause, as he flattens down the rumpled folds of his labcoat. then, he gives a laugh as he looks up at wesker. so much taller than him! ]

Hello. I'm assuming you were the one who wanted access to the lab equipment?

[Wesker had been busy calculating the best Red Zone to venture into when the termite made its debut. A quick turn and his hand was resting on the handgun inside his coat. However, it was dropped as soon as Kasukabe started introductions.]

[How odd. Ah, but then again:]

[The panther prodded at his thigh. As if routine, Wesker lowered his hand to the beast's head.] You would be correct in that assumption.

[ when the panther nudged forward, kasukabe's termite reacted by looking at it and clicking loudly -- quieting down only when kasukabe tapped lightly at its head. ]

Sorry if I startled you, but it's just so much faster riding around than running from place to place. [ a light laugh, as he lowered his hand. ] I guess it's expected that people would be shocked, though.

[ a pause, before he held out his hand, features arranged in a friendly smile. ] Ah, it's Kasukabe. Nice to meet you.

[Wesker plucked his hand from his familiar's head.] To be completely frank, this place has shown that anything is possible.

[A formal greeting was proposed and Wesker shrugged off the inconvenience. Extended his own hand, he offered a quaint smile.] - Wesker. I would say the pleasure is all mine since you have been so kind as to offer up your laboratory for this little excursion. I hope we find anything of use.

[He gestured to his communicator.] There are some hot spots up ahead. Have you had any encounter with them before?

[ still grinning, kasukabe gave wesker's hand a short, firm shake. ] Anything for the sake of knowledge, Mr. Wesker. I'd be delighted to find out more about this city.

[ loosely crossing his arms, he glanced at the communicator for a moment -- then down the street, where he knew a hotspot lay far up ahead. ] Not personally, no. The last time I was here a young man was almost knocked out by their effects, though. I was asked to examine him to make sure he was okay -- it turned out to be nothing too serious. Then again, he hadn't been exposed for too long. Just enough to exhaust him temporarily.

[Wesker began to move, panther in tow. His fingers touched the communicator, fiddling with the settings.] Then this should be something new for the two of us. [He wouldn't mention the incident with that cop fellow .. ]

I had someone on the network interested in joining us - he stated he would be willing to see the effects on his own body for this experiment. [A tilt of the shades.] If you are not opposed, I have already sent him an invite. That is, if he can hurry here in time.
