harry potter release party, and willy wonka.
so anyway,....
i went to go get the book last night around midnight. now several places in the area were having pre-release parties. Hastings, Barnes and Noble, and H-E-B, that i know of. H-E-B you say? yep a grocery store. well it was getting close to midnight and getting the book at all was kind of a spur of the moment thing, so i decided to go to the closest place, which was the h-e-b. now i can't speak for the other release parties, i'm guessing there were a good amount of people and possibly some cosplay at the other places. but when i went into h-e-b, i just had to laugh. there was a table set up there, it had several dozen cupcakes and a couple of gallons of punch. also it had like 3 balloons attatched to it and behind the table were a few employees. (all wearing party hats). infront of the table there were like 4 or 5 kids. and that's it. they probably expected more people, cause although there were lots of cupcakes.... there were lots of cupcakes. i mean it seemed like maybe one or two were missing(given out). and all of the gallons of punch were full. so there was no party. it was just a few people standing around. midnight came around shortly after i got there, and they brought out a box of books. i'm sure they had more in the back... but they gave out books to everyone who was there(myself included) and still had a couple left in the box. i quickly paid for my book and left. so that was it. i'm a big fan of h-e-b. but that was kind of a very sad party.
as for the spoilers going around the internet, i've not read any, though i hear page 606 is all kinds of interesting. liza tried to get me to read it, but i didn't. i'll get there.
we went to go see willy wonka today... it was..... ok. i like johnny depp's willy wonka.. and i like the updated mike tv. other than that it was, ok. i much prefer the old oompaloompa's (and their songs.) and i prefer gene wilder's songs to johnny depp's flash backs. and that's about it.
Liza's been also having lots of cramping lately. yesterday we went to her dr. to see if maybe the baby was in danger. luckily it's not. but when they were checking her, they did an ultrasound. so i got to see the nugget again. i mean there were this couple of white spots on the monitor and then i hear liza ask 'are those the feet?'. and as soon as she said that, they moved! it was totally awesome to me. i mean i saw my baby move! like MOVE not just kinda wiggle around, but like kick. so that totally made my day. i mean i know liza's having some bad cramping(and she still is to this moment :( ) but yesterday was awesome for me cause i got to see my baby move! :D
so that's about it, not much to post. harry potter, check. willy wonka, check. baby, check. all's well for now. (though still seeking employment). gotta go for now, just realized i gotta go buy a lottery ticket before it's too late. (145 million you know).
