Cryo - Do I sense a touch of Poppy Z. Brite in your work?

That was AMAZINGLY good. Loved it. Specially the end.

Er - first you'll have to enlighten me as to whom Poppy Z. Brite is XD;;; I guess that's a job for google XD

Thanks though! Glad you liked it.

*thinks how to explain*

If you like the sort of stuff above - Go get the Poppy Z. Brite book "Drawing Blood". It is exactly like the sort of stuff you wrote above, including with two beautiful gay boys. It's not fantasy, its USUALLY in the fiction section but sometimes gets nudged over to horror.

I'd recommend amazoning it, as book stores rarely carry her work.

I bet you would LOVE Poppy Z. Brite.

First off, once you read Drawing Blood, you'll realize how ironic that statement you just made was. XD

Do me a very serious favor - if you get the book and read it, tell me what you think?

I'd recommend her books "Drawing Blood", "Lost Souls", and "Exquiste Corpse" (if you can deal with canibalism.)

Actually, I think I need to buy these now, if nothing else but I like how frank the author is being on their page about everything :) Being able to admit when you don't really like your own characters in a book and not coming off as wanky is amazing in and of itself.

*nodnod* P.Z.B. is an amazing, amazing woman and author. I never can find people who have read her, but everytime I loan the book(s) out, she gets another fan. I KNOW you'll enjoy her stuff.
