Huh. So, I read it three times and it's been sitting here in front of me since you posted.

Well, let's start with the obvious stuff. I love the way Envy interacts with the Gate, part of it but separate, unique from the trapped souls while he is trapped in his own little hell, the one he helped create. I don't think he gets all the credit for it, but he helped. He, regrets, killing Hohenehim, not because he sudddenly wants a father but because he has nothing else to do. That is just so sad for me, and for him that he can't just let go, that he has to obsess over something else.

Poor Alfons, so sure he's going to hell, determined he is twisted and doomed for loving Ed. And he just doesn't know what to do with Envy, he's trying to give him what he wants but he's losing the memories faster than he can bring them up.

Such a conflicted combination, torn between hate and love and stuck hovering in that gray area so many get stuck in. At least the two have a chance to find something of meaning, even if they don't know what to do with it.

I bet none of that makes sense. Oh well. I'll just say it's lovely and leave it at that.
