I've been going back and forth -you know, for all of two minutes- about whether to wait to respond, but I think I will now, because it seems right. And you know how I feel, but it's just achingly ache:

This is just beautiful and gorgeous and pulling, and I dunno if you mean it to be Elricest, but it can be, as easily as it can be gen between them and it's just lovely and it IS personal and I'm raaaambling but I'm really, really touched by this, and all the melancholy and the love and the sad and the need.

This is very sweet and melancholy. Sometimes places are haunted by memories. Or songs.

Yeah, I only call it a songfic because some of the lines are directly lifted. The imagery, I don't really think is though. It's just what I see in my head to that song.

Yeah, in retrospect, there's not much of the song itself still in there? A few lines, some images. Most of it is really just what I see when I listen to the song; hence to me, it is a songfic.
